Yukon YK28041 Review: Yukon YK28041 Digital Ranger 5 x 42 Night Vision Monocular. This product is a monocular not a binocular. The secondary lens is actually an IR beam. I've had this device for about a year. It has pros and cons over traditional night vision. Unlike Gen1 devices, the Digital Ranger is not subject to optical damage when exposed to bright light. Image quality is distortion free unlike Gen1 devices. The device sports a jack to record video. I use a camcorder with no issues however, the video quality is very grainy in lux conditions.
